This can be a long process but help and support is available
What is expected of me?
The Police will keep in contact with you throughout the investigation. They will tell you when they need something from you, and when there are significant updates in the case.
If you have been hurt, you may be asked to have a physical examination> This will be carried out in a suitable place by trained professionals.
You may have to supply some of your technology to the police for evidence collection, e.g. your mobile phone or computer. It will be returned to you as soon as the evidence has been recorded.
